Article on leaderless resistance
OK, it's been some time since I've posted any new content here. Been mucho busy these past few months. But here's an interesting analysis of the concept of leaderless resistance, which as the name implies means a decentralized resistance. Such movements can be quite difficult to counter; since there are no leaders, the movement can not be disabled by their removal. They are also resistant to informers and other information leaks. On the other hand, without a leader they may not be as effective as they could be, and the movement could be more susceptible to downswings in motivation and/or morale. With little to no communication between members or cells, they also run the risk of different elements acting at cross-purposes. The above article looks at the use of leaderless resistance in various, mostly violent, movements.

if you think that leaders make successful movements, you're just not an anarchist, right?
and of course there are many socialists and communists, basic robot parrots for the Manifesto of Marx/Engels who are all for organization and even go so far as to call their overt leaders "facilitators" -- practical anarchist thought has always been targeted for co-option and subversion by such types.
the reason Heinlein returned to basic human Love as a theme so many times is that it's REAL.
the totalitarian mindsets tend to try to substitute love with guilt-based loyalty or nationalism...
...thus they tend to build Hitlers, Pol Pots, Chavezes, or Bushes...
...if Guevara was truly a great leader, the people who he led would not still need liberation today.
permanent revolution is a trap.
it was practically invented secretly by Gun Manufacturers...
you're obviously a big fan of RAH. I just reread To Sail Beyond The Sunset...what is rejuvenating about H. is his philosophy, his belief in humanity...
as far as different members acting at cross purposes, well,
it really does seem to call for knowing what real absolute love MEANS and living for it, without substitute, without compromise. because it's obvious Mister Bush and his family of Nazi sadists don't do that at ALL...
their conspiracy is deep
and has many secrets.
you can write me back anytime. i hate blogs, though, and i almost never use this. I found this when i was surfing Google looking to see all the covers for The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress that have ever been used...
you know H. just lays out guidelines, right? any revolution that actually tried to use THAT method would choke on its cellular connections. it would show a lack of initiative and independent thought, as well...
